The video is about the declaration of the Spaces for Peace and Children as Zones of Peace in the 7 barangays of Pikit known as GiNaPaLaDTaKa (an acronym for the seven conflict affected areas who experienced the ravages of war). A momentous event, the presentation tells how it is being conceived, the series of activities conducted prior to the declaration and the effort of the local communities to declare their communities and their children as Space and Zones of Peace as their contribution to the greater concern for Peace. 2005. The video features the investigative mission organized by the MPC (Mindanao People’s Caucus ) in July of 2003, five months after the armed conflict in Central Mindanao took place. The areas covered by the mission are Pikit, Pagalungan and Datu Montawal municipalities. The assessment includes the issue of security, Human Rights, Education, Livelihood and Public Health. 2003.
