The story of the Mindanao people is OUR story. At the core of our Filipino values is the word Kapwa. This uniquely Filipino word for oneness embeds the other with another as "shared self." At the deeper level, this also means "shared divinity." We wish to reconnect the rest of the Filipino people with our Kapwa in Mindanao who have been for decades struggling lasting peace and sustainable development. (In tagalog, the prefix KA is bridging word, something that connects or dugtong between two or more for a shared meaning.)
This peace campaign video is produced by the Mindanao Solidarity Network, Balay Rehabilitation Center, and Rock ED with special thanks to independent filmmaker Pepe Diokno, celebrities, volunteers, and public figures in the video.
