Position --- One (1) Community-Based Psychosocial Development Worker - based in Quezon City Office

Job Summary: Responsible in providing psychosocial and other support services and conduct case work to the target population in the project site.

Tasks and Functions:

    1. Participate in the planning, implementation, monitoring and assessment of the project and program in the identified project site ensuring the psychosocial objectives and activities are taken in consideration.
    2. Screen, evaluate, document and facilitate participatory intervention planning for each partner-beneficiary who may be in need of psychosocial intervention.
    3. Maintain and update case folders and come up with case study report for each case load.
    4. Provide or facilitate necessary and appropriate psychosocial services, and other relevant services as may be identified as assessed or expressed needs to the assigned target partner-beneficiary including referral to professional services.
    5. Ensure documentation of activities and intervention undertaken.
    6. Organize and facilitate therapeutic group activities for partner-beneficiaries.
    7. Undertake networking and generate support of other organizations for the benefit of the program’s target population.
    8. In coordination with Community Organizer, conduct awareness raising and psych-education for the target population.
    9. Assist the project team in the community-related activities.
    10. Provide assistance to the Community-Based Alternative Learning System Teacher in developing teaching learning units that has psychosocial objectives.
    11. Provide feedback to the Community-Based Alternative Learning System Teacher in assessing the psychosocial objectives of the teaching learning units.
    12. Participate in meetings, training, conferences and activities of the program and institution.
    13. Write and submit monthly individual accomplishment report.
    14. Act as Child Protection Focal Person for BALAY National Office.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant academic background and/or practical experience on social work, psychology, health and behavioural science
  • Experience in managing human rights violation cases is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge on case management
  • Can do documentation work and write reports
  • Willingness and ability to do fieldwork as necessary
  • Can effectively communicate in written and verbal form
  • Can speak a local dialect a plus

 Position: One (1) Unit Officer for Legislative Advocacy and Communications

Area of Assignment: Metro Manila with Field work in Mindanao

Job Summary:  Takes the lead in developing strategy, planning, development, and implementation of legislative advocacy plan, and campaign and communication works within the organization and with various stakeholders and partners within the wider human rights and humanitarian protection community.

Specific Job Assignment

  1. Develop strategic partnerships with key partners to elicit support to attain objectives.
  2. Serves as principal communications and advocacy liaison to media organizations, national groups, and other stakeholders.
  3. Lead in the development of BALAY advocacy, campaign and communications plan at the national level that is synchronized to the strategic and project plans.
  4. Provide advice and assist the programs and units at the regional and local level on advocacy, campaign and communications planning and strategizing that is synchronized to the strategic and project plans. This is include content and sharpening of messages, methods and approaches  
  5. Oversee the development of communications and advocacy materials.
  6. Engage the units and programs i evaluating results and impact of communication and advocacy activities, report on its development and accomplishments including trends and attitudes regarding BALAY advocacies.
  7. Coordinates and directs communications and advocacy staff and volunteers.
  8. Coordinate with Communications Specialists regarding online communications to ensure coherent messaging and content.

Qualifications:

Position: One (1) Finance and Administrative Officer

Job Summary:  Responsible for all the financial and related administration matters of BALAY and will report and work closely with the Executive Director.  In addition,  the Finance and Administrative Officer will partner with teh Executive Director to develop and strengthen strategies relating to finance across the organization. 

  •    SPECIFIC TASKS and FUNCTIONS:

    1. Provide management with financial information necessary for controlling operations and in planning and decision-making.
    2. Directs and supervises the finance unit operations and ensure compliance to BALAY’s policy, internal control, guidelines and procedures;
    3. Identifies weak points in internal control and recommends measures to cover up with a more reliable system operations;
    4. Reviews and monitors financial reporting for programs and projects such as budget, cash flow and expenditures reports, variance analysis, bank inter-fund reconciliations, billings and other reports;
    5. Assist the Executive Director in the preparation of budget proposals and related documents;
    6. Directs and supervises preparations/conduct of annual audit;
    7. Monitors and coordinate operations at he local office;
    8. Ensure due diligence and compliance with project donors rules and regulations and project closing out;
    9. Presents regular financial report to the Board of Directors;
    10. Check liquidation reports prior tro recording of the Bookkeeper;
    11. Participate in the National Management Committee meetings and fulfill related tasks;
    12. Performs other lawful and BALAY-related tasks and functions that may be designated by the Executive Director.
