The United Against Torture Coalition Philippines (UATC) is a coalition of more than 30 human rights, women’s rights, children rights, political and grassroots organizations working towards ending the use of torture in the Philippines. The Steering Committee Members of the UATC are Balay Rehabilitation Center (BALAY), Amnesty International Philippines (AIPH), Families of Victims of Involuntary Disappearances (FIND), Medical Action Group (MAG), Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA) and Task Force Detainees of the Philippines (TFDP).

The Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA) is a non-stock, non-profit alliance duly registered under the laws of the Philippines. It was established on August 9, 1986 in a Congress that was participated in by more than a hundred organizations from all over the Philippines. It was formed as an alliance of individuals, institutions and organizations committed to the promotion, protection and realization of human rights in the Philippines.

The Philippine-Misereor Partnership Inc. (PMPI) is a network of people’s organizations (POs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), church/faith-based groups and Misereor, the overseas development agency of the Catholic Church in Germany based in Aachen, Germany. PMPI is legally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 20, 2004. It is the result of a series of consultations among organizations supported by Misereor which discussed a model of cooperation, coordination and partnership between these Philippine social development organizations and Misereor.

MPC is a grassroots network of indigenous peoples, Bangsamoro and Christian communities and leaders who have common vision for peace in Mindanao. MPC is known to have stood up for the struggle to finally resolve the age-old armed conflict in Mindanao through a negotiated political settlement that contains the essentials acceptable to both negotiating parties and that addresses the historical oppression and forced marginalization of the native inhabitants and indigenous peoples of this island.
